It is hard especially in Los Angeles to differentiate yourself as a yoga instructor. I am hoping to find a niche in the dance community and use yoga as a tool to help dancers gain greater mind/body awareness, strength and flexibility. I am going to start working once a week with a dancer friend of mine who recently had knee surgery. He is dancing again and doing physical therapy and I am going to work with him for about 2 months, 1-2x/week and track his rehabilitation and how he does in terms of mind/body awareness, upper body strength, flexibility, balance and strength. It will be an interesting experiment to work with him.
I feel like I have been reading book after book to help me find a unique approach to movement that I can incorporate into my classes or sequencing, but I guess the best way to develop these skills is to actually teach and see what happens.

Namaste :)
